Ask a question

how do I fix, e-signature request fails with CRJAZ0799W - the configured user registry does not support the request?

I'm using WAS with a file based registry.
On JTS;
The 'User Registry Type' shows UNSUPPORTED, which I also tried DETECT.
The 'Signature Verifier' shows ExternalRegistrySignatureVerifier.

Is E-Signature something that just will not work here or is there another name/value in the properties I need to set?

This is and upgraded 6.0 environment with WAS Enterprise

Since I'm not using Tomcat or LDAP are there other choices for the User Registry or Signature Verifier values?

According to the following document:

if the user registry type is "External" (UNSUPPORTED), you can not use e-Signature function.

Thank you for the response, but what I am looking for is a way to use the e-Signature function.

If I read this technote it appear I either have to connect to LDAP or use Tomcat.
Am I reading that correctly, are these two options the only way or is there another option?

I don't think there's any other option except using LDAP or Tomcat user registry type.
