Using RTC 2.0.0.1 in Fedora 12

Rodney Brown (112) | asked Dec 04 '09, 7:46 p.m.
I have been trying to find a response for a problem that I have been having on the internets with little luck. Here is the problem. RTC is installed well but I am having problems with all of the Wizards. I can click through the wizard and modify the panels, but the Finish button does not work on any panel. RTC just seems to sit and wait for I don't know what. Any suggestions? I am stumped. Here is the log file from .log:

Hello Rodney,

I'm using ubuntu 9.10 and have had similar problems. There are currently two major issues (the first one should apply to you), which I have solved with the follwing steps:

1. There is a update in the gtk-library, which produces your behavior.
Diskussion is here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=287307
http://git.gnome.org/cgit/gtk+/commit/?id=a79f929dd6c89fceeaf0d9039e5a10cad9d87d2f
The solution is to set the environment variable for the eclipse process
export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true
I am using a wrapper script for my eclipse instances.

2. Another problem with modern linux is the xulrunner library. If your javadoc view does not work, your system requires an older xulrunner lib for eclipse. For me, downloading an older version (1.9.0.15) and referring to it in the eclipse.ini
-vmargs
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/opt/xulrunner-1.9.0.15
solved this issue.
