RFT/webUI step in database

David G (11213) | asked Feb 18 '20, 11:29 a.m.

Good morning!

I am wondering if it would be possible to see about putting our steps that are currently in webUI into a database so that we can query any changes that would be needed – especially if that change effects more than just one WebUI script. Like a builk update for that step in other scripts, etc.

I took a look at the “.testsuite” files but they all seem encoded with jibber-jabber.

The only thing we could use is using Selenium to put the steps in a database – however, doing that won’t let others do a script using the WebUI GUI (as far as I know?). Using Selenium would be all java code and no GUI which some of our testers/creators would not know anything about.

Also, if this is not the correct forum to post this in then please let me know and give me a link to the appropriate forum.

This is not the right place for RFT questions.
RFT forum was in developerWorks up to the end of last year

it was sunset now. The contents should be moved to IBM support forum:
I can see some posts there in 2020 and you can give it a try.
