RQM Performance issues during reporting

Kunal N (872862) | asked Oct 30 '17, 1:01 p.m.

 Hi All,

We have customized reports and dashboards in RQM, Earlier the dashboards and queries would reflect data within 1- 2 mins However since last few days we are experience performace issues with RQM. Queries on RQM are taking long time to retrieve data, it takes now around 4-5 minutes to fetch data. Same data earlier it used to take 1-2 mins.

Thank you,
Kunal

You did not ask a question at all. If you ask for the "reason" behind the behavior that you observed, then your statement is not clear enough. When you say "4-5 minutes", does it mean that it takes the particular query 4-5 minutes to return results, or the query result has a 4-5 minutes "gap" between the up-to-date data?

Note that it is very unlikely you can resolve a performance issue on this forum due to its complexity.

 Hi Donald,

It is taking 4-5 minutes to return results for a particular query. Earlier same query used to take 1-2 minutes to fetch data. The amount of data fetched is same. What are all the reasons that may impact the performance.

Thanks,
Kunal

Consider opening a PMR for this performance issue (see How to open a PMR (external users)).

Without any data, it will be very difficult to say. Just for argument's sake, I can say it's probably the CPU frequency has been capped to 500MHz from the original 2.5GHz. I can come up with other bizarre "reasons" but apparently it will not help you a bit.

You should at least have some basic performance monitoring in place, so that you can see where the bottleneck may be. Open a ticket with IBM Support if you have to, but please note that performance tuning is actually not in the support scope.
