Ask a question

iIs utl_file_dir needed when using Oracle as the DB?

Dan England (824) | asked Jul 29 '16, 10:26 a.m.

We are using JAZZ 5.0.2 with Oracle as the DB.

Our DBA team has told me that utl_file_dir parameter is set for the database and wants to remove it.

Does anyone know if any part of JAZZ needs this or can it be turned off?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

This is parameter, is an Oracle DB parameter, where the CLM application doesn't have any special requirements to use it or not.
CLM propose the minimal requirements to create an Oracle Database and Configure it with the Application, although the Customer and Dba needs to review what's necessary to have in their architecture or not.
I'm adding here the instructions for CLM Oracle Databases, then you can use it to discuss what is better in your environment .
