Hello everyone,

we are sharing (replicating) components between different servers (DSCM). This means a component always has one source server where it was created and zero to many destination servers where it was copied to or replicated.

Is there a way to determine for any given component on which server it was originally created (e.g., by parts of its UUID)?

(This question is related to the forum entry DSCM How to identify if a Changeset is a replica?)

Thank you!

I don't believe there is any info possible..

in my cross server copy project utility, I get the list of components from the source server, then create them on the destination server.   there is no linkage between the two.  my assumption is the product code would do the same thing.

Yes, as I understand it, the answer from the RTC SCM developers to changeset question applies to components as well.

Thank you both for the clarification!
