How to extract WI with an empty contributor list field

Mathieu Defianas (15952938) | asked Nov 09 '15, 6:04 a.m.
Hello,
I use RTC 5.0.2. on Windows.
I have created a custom field with the type "Contributor List" in my custom workitem type.
I would like to report all workitems that contain this value as empty/unassigned.
I have created a query selecting "Unassigned" to this value but the corresponding workitems are not present in the result :-(
In fact, I think that the problem is that when this field is empty, the value is equal to "-" and not to Unassigned.
Have you got an idea ? Thanks for your help.
Regards
Mathieu

A contributor list is an attribute that refers to a list of items.
I just looked quickly into the query conditions and unfortunately there are onyl (assuming you talk about queries)
1. Containing
2. Not containing
3. Exists

If the work item is created with the custom attribute, the list exists. You want a condition like "isEmpty" which unfortunately does not seem to be there. I would suggest to open an enhancement request.

Thanks Ralph.
I am going to test Report Builder to see if this feature is available

Fields with the type "contributor list", are not available on Report Builder ...
I think there is no solution to resolve this issue
