"Location missing required itemType information" when opening plan in Kanban view

 1) Used my normal kanban view and had a plan where all work items had no related artifact links

2) Edited the view and added the related artifact link to the largest card display

3) Saved the plan - this worked fine

4) Opened one of the items and added a related artifact

5) When I went back to the plan I got this error and the plan would not load:

I am using RTC 5.0.2, tried Chrome & Firefox browsers. Can anyone else reproduce this? If so I can submit a defect.

Thanks

I can not reproduce the issue in RTC 5.0.2.

If you remove the "Related Artifacts" from the work item and refresh the plan again, will you still get the error?
What's URL you input in the "Related Artifacts"?

John Goodson commented Sep 08 '15, 8:49 a.m.

 Hi Lily,

Yes, if I remove the related artifact from the work item the problem goes away.
The URL might be an issue. The URL I am inserting is a URL to another plan in my RTC project.

Hi John,

A defect was opened for this issue.  It is specific when the link is referring back to an artifact within the same ccm instance.  See Defect 380058 for details.
The fix will be available in 6.0.2, but the suggested workaround is to use link redirection.

Cheers,
Melissa
