CLM 4.0.6 Database Migration from SQL server 2008 to 2012 change of server

Marinept Villalobos (472131) | asked Jun 10 '15, 4:10 p.m.
Hello,
We plan to do an upgrade of the CLM database server from Microsoft Sql Server 2008 R2 to Microsoft Sql Server 2012.
The version of CLM is 4.0.6 (RTC,RQM) is installed in a single application server and the database is located in another server.
We want to move the current database to the new server. Is there anything else needed besides the repotools scripts and reindexing the database?
We are concerned about the IP address and the database name change.

Hello Villalobos,

Export your DB thro full back-ups and re-store them in 2012, should be transparent for RTC, and change the configuration files where you are pointing the databases located on JTS home folder in:

jtsinstalled\server\conf\app(ccm,jts,qm,rm)\teamserver.properties

and Ensure that the config files are pointing to the new database server(2012) before start the server.
