RTC API login persist similar to SCM without password details (using plain java libraries)

Jim Zarakis (1023) | asked May 21 '15, 11:54 p.m.
What is the recommended approach to handling login details for RTC plain java API application to the repository without exposing password details for that account?

E.g. If the API had a mechanism to store connection securely for reuse. Something similar to a connection / credentials object possible in SCM command line that persists OR possibly use the one created by the RTC eclipse client itself.

It is not possible to reuse the connections made by the RTC Eclipse client or the SCM command line client.
Your application must encrypt and store the user/password/repository uri in a secure location. Every time you launch  your java application the data is read from the secure location, decrypted and is used to login to RTC.
