Sharing work item data between projects

Jon Tilt (354) | asked Jun 08 '09, 4:58 a.m.
I have two projects in RTC (with difference groups of users). The first project is being used to store requirements. I'd like the second project to have access to some of these requirements (or at least the data in them) so they can tie new work items to them. Any ideas of how to best achieve this?
Thanks
Jon

Although I don't have the exact same situation, I am trying to share work items across projects and need to know this information.

I have a "helpdesk" that will then create defects in a different(s) project(s).

thanks

there are two ways..

1. make the users members of both projects
2. make the projects open access. so all can see..

this only works easily if the projects are on the same (CCM) server

  1. I am an admin and member of all projects. I am going in to the Link tab to do this. Should I be somewhere else? From the link menu, only one item shows up.
  2. Where is this action at? There is an area to share process, but I don't see your action.
  3. Both projects are on the same server.

thanks
