The CLM online help shows steps that help working with predefined data.
For example "Assisted data entry":

But in the test script editor these buttons do not show. (I tried RQM 4.0.4)

assisted data entry UI buttons

How can I turn these (back) on?

Gerd,
Be sure that the "Show Attachments/Links" option is enabled in Manual Test UI
If it is, you should see the buttons on the right of the Expected results Column
