I understand that we can create more than one TER for a single test case by selecting different environments. Is there any other way we can create multiple TERs for a single test case?

Why would you like to do this?
If it is the same TestCase, with the same environment and other infos, one TCER should be enough. This one can be run as often as you want to. greetings georg. Comments

We will need to do this when there are more than 1 testers executing the same test case. We will need separate records of the results. 2
this seems odd - do you not trust the results of one tester? If you want to do this if you use the generate TCER wizard there is a place where you can prepend a value to make the TCER unique. A TCER must be unique in Test Plan, Test Case, Iteration, and Environment. The prepended value because part of the environment I believe to make it unique. The 4 things above control the creation of a TCER. You can't create duplicates that have all 4 values the same - it will result in an error.

Thank you for this information. Will change the name of the TER. This should help. |
Execution reports and Summary reports will be impacted:

You will have separate records of the results.
When 2 testers run a single test case execution record, 2 separate test execution results are created. Each result shows, in the Owner field, the tester who conducted that test run: Does that meet your needs? |
Thank you all for your responses! Changing the name of TER worked for me.
