How to define work item category when importing into a plan from Microsoft Project xml?

Marco Leung (2134) | asked May 02 '13, 10:17 a.m.
Is there a way to define the specific work item category when I am importing a project as a .xml? I have a product backlog that contains different types of work that I want to assign to different workstreams. Is there a way for me to define that on my Microsoft Project project before I import into the Rational plan?

Hi Marco,

We can define the workitem type for each level and this will be prompted while importing the MPP.

Thanks.

Valli, to clarify what I meant: I was hoping that I can designate certain tasks to be an "testing" and certain tasks to be "tools development", not "stories" or "epic" or "tasks". This way, all the tasks will be associated to different team areas. Thank you!
