Backup/Restore

Georg Kellner (840481109) | asked Mar 25 '13, 3:32 a.m.
Hi fellows,

I got the task to create a restore/disaster recovery plan for our Jazz environment.

Backup of application data and database users is clear.
A complete restore of a database due to server/storage crash also.

My point of view is a test of the backup or a partial restore.
AFAIK for both sceanrios I need a computer with exactly the same name, so the uri for accessing the data is correct.
This should be a standalone PC, where I can hack the hosts without affecting the productive system(s).
I would install the Jazz software, restore the databases (JTS and RTC or RQM), configure the software to use those dbs, and start it.
But, we are using LDAP.

If I start a JTS offline, what is the way to login or how can a non-LDAP user be reactivated?

greettings georg.
