I may have missed it, but I haven't found a way to modify the Work Environment using a browser. Will someone please confirm that the Work Environment can only be modified using the rich (Eclipse-based) client?

You are right, editing the work environment is currently only supported
in the rich client. However, we will implement a work environment editor
for the web ui for 2.0.
